SAFETY
All of our instructors are certified for both Lifesaving
and C.P.R. I hold a "Blue Card", issued by the State of
Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources. To get this card,
I completed a class for Lifesaving, First Aid and CPR for the Professional
Rescuer. I also passed 2 tests, one written and one practical, on
surf lessons and knowedge of North Shore surfing. We keep a safe
ratio of students per instructors, and there is always a cellular
phone available for emergencies. All students MUST be able to swim.
Our surfboards are made as safe as is possible. The fins we use
on them are by SurfCo, and are either soft-tipped or are completely
flexible. The students wear surf leashes attaching them to their
surfboards, and all of our surfboards are custom made of a soft
material. These surfboards are the finest quality soft surfboards
in the world, made by SURFLIGHT HAWAII. Each one is hand-shaped,
and there are a variety of sizes and shapes available. For more
detailed information about the surfboards please see their website: http://www.surflight.com./ FINS...http://www.surfcohawaii.com
